Blue Iris — Study

Blue Iris — Study

A single blue bloom opens clearly on bare paper, feathery whites and a pale yellow heart setting electric-blue petals against ink-green leaves with quiet clarity.

Rendered directly in color-and-ink, a single blue flower stands upright; the petals shift from deep to light blue with a pale yellow wash at the center, overlaid by dry-brushed white lines that describe feathery filaments and a tremor-like texture. Stem and leaves are swept in long wet strokes, layered greens and crisp edges recording the turns of the brush and a tensile resilience. Broad negative space lets flower and leaves animate the stillness, and faint creases and watermarks in the paper retain the breath and tempo of a study. The overall mood is lucid and cool, with a lightness felt within the quiet.
