荔枝图

Clusters of lychees hang among cool green leaves, their ripeness gathered into a quiet moment by fine outlines and layered color that hold the abundant sweetness of midsummer.

Rendered in meticulous gongbi with color, precise ink lines articulate veins and peel patterns, layered with washes of green, ochre, and rouge. The lychees shift from pale pink to vermilion, their dimpled shells dotted like scales and appearing full; the blue‑green leaves are graded in wash, their edges lifting and curling. A main branch slants down from the upper right, its clusters hanging low amid generous blank paper, while softened foliage above suggests depth. A red seal reading “Guoqiang” rests at lower right, and the mood is lucid yet abundant.
